You wake to find yourself falling You vowed to live your dreams before they died You’re not afraid of flying If walking doesn’t fit A nightmare flight surrounds you Now you’re about to hit Don’t feel you can heal people then Take their hearts and go You’ll arrive below To buy the greatest fame Or sell the sweetest shame Take it with you when you go You reach to find yourself clawing Grab again and you’ll find the end of your line I never earned your blessing I hope to learn your curse You never took my sharing I don’t know which is worse Don’t feel that ideal people are only those you know You’ll appear below To end your greatest shame And start your final fame Take it with you when you go You wake to find yourself falling Make a move and you’ll find the end of your time The energy of honor The effort of regret You’ve left the finest spaces But haven’t hit ground yet Don’t kneel before real people but Take your time and go You’ll arrive below To buy the greatest fame Or sell the sweetest shame Take it with you when you go You rose to find yourself crawling Make a move and you’ll find the end of your time Create a better journey A gratified affair If this will be your last breath You’ll finally own the air Don’t feel you can steal my love then Take your heart and go You’re not falling slow We’d cure the sickest lies But even doctors die Take me with you when you go

I eat puppies in bad dreams Just like you’ll eat my mind On Asian streets that kill your feet Hot dogs go for a dime Long-neck fences can’t hide you Beer ain’t booze, just a buzz You eat men, just like hens I won’t choke on your love The monster of your memory Revives a zombie time when Infatuation failed and Your love became a crime to Those whose hearts lose I eat puppies for breakfast If sold in a jar with a lid On Asian streets that kill your meat Hot dogs go for a quid I eat veggies for dinner If they’re blood-red, fat, with no lean Cats and dogs, just like hogs Walk on a set of four feet The monster of your memory Revives a zombie time when Consideration failed and Your love became a crime to Those who can’t lose I’m your puppy in bad dreams You stroke me from tail to paw I beg for calm You tell your mom, “I eat my puppies raw” I’m your killer in past dreams Where kings and queers have it made A royal hex makes backwards sex Wake, your pet wants a raise Don’t change your nightmare till the end of your dream Don’t run with dogs just to bitch and bite them When lies remained your theme Your cries became a scream To those who won’t lose I’m your lover in sad dreams I won’t take what you give You eat no meat, yet murder me I’ll continue to live The men you treated like hell defeated you Time for you to forgive

I learned to steal whatever cravings I could deal Then learned to give what others need If generosity can be a fatal flaw Then you’re immortal in your greed Lying to love is forsaking, making darkness from the light Why can’t you see the deceit that you keep And how can you sleep at night? How can you sleep at night When gluttony is your appetite? How can you feed us lies you think we need And how can you sleep at night? Panting children lay like patterns on the carpet Not expecting to be fed Too young to have their first idea Too weak to wish that they were dead We hired your energy to generate a peace But you profit from another plight How can you steal and never have to feel And how can you sleep at night? How can you sleep at night? How do you steal a life? How can you take and persuade that you make And how can you sleep at night? The world contains two types of warriors Both presume help from above Those who try to kill the things they hate And those who fight for what they love I’d love to fool the universal rule Allowing lowlifes to walk upright How can you conceal disguises that reveal You deserve no sleep at night? How can you sleep at night When your nightmares expedite How you make the sky think that air might be a lie And how can you sleep at night? Can you take another dollar, should I give another inch? When you look into a mirror, who’s the first to flinch? Questions end when every answer sends A message packing blood The truth we need is too pure to breed When guns become tough love Too weak to have a good idea But strong enough to spit Craving raving vengeance I won’t take another hit Empathy has ended Now I’m ready to fight You taught the cold to burn But now you’ll have to learn that You won’t sleep at night How can I win a fight that exchanges wrong and right? How can your sin become a type of win And how can you sleep at night?

Another long walk from the bone yard Another hard drop from the sky One more run to a life fight Not one good reason why One more shift with the dirt bags Whose worst traits imply they're kin One more cheating teaser I don't know if I get to win I'm doing nothing here that doesn't make me spit fear At least we get it over quick One more decade of bullshit That has to be the deity's nick What's wrong with me I'm going nowhere at increasing speed Can't trash my ration of identity Or tame this lame hyperbole Excess hurts What's wrong might be You have to feel that you are free to leave You found a pathway to eternity But it's hard so why not cheat? Excess works Some start starving for love at birth Some are born over the hill Some get fat without eating Sperm worm gives you your fill Folks who find heaven can really raise hell In sacred sites and in bars Your alien ways tell you life is a play And that Jesus came from Mars The things I'm taking don't weigh much The rest I'll have to leave behind A kid who makes a kid, another average man That has to be The Bullshit's plan What's wrong, I see, Is that you only want more songs from me If I could manage to set you free You'd rather watch it on TV Excess hurts What's wrong with me Is that I'd rather feed you songs like these Instead of trying to set you free With indifferent expertise Excess works Another long walk from the back yard Another hard stop from a cry One more run to a life fright Don't need one reason why I'm buying nothing here that doesn't make me sell fear Can't afford this priceless plan If your final wish is seeing gardens blossom again Your life ain't been worth a damn What's wrong, I plead Is that you're staying too long with me Still hoping for guarantees You think you're strong because you bleed Excess hurts What's wrong, I scream, Is that I'd rather hide from thoughts like these Instead of stopping at serenity You need to see it's just a tease Excess works

Playing cards with creatures Gun against my face Someone has to hang for this I hope it's not my place Thought I had it figured Finger on the trigger Gambling with unearthly crime Five will get you ten some loser's gonna win Gotta get away this time You're high faluting till the guns start shooting Then you become a cowboy from France Smooth as glass, but when you pass gas You have to stop and clean your pants Dead in bed, without a head Is no way to wake at night A noose and tree won't let me dance free Gotta get away in time Reshape escaping when the route you're taking Leads fiends to meet your mom Strange outsiders that sit beside her And tick like a space-time bomb A brotherhood your mother would have butchered with the swine Till she learned the strangers had Helped you get away from time Rustlers from Mexico Terrorists from Idaho Aliens from System Z One steals your meat, the next ruins your peace The last gives advice for free Beings won't let me be Starting in a cave, I ended in space, same place, different times Outer spacious, vast and gracious, empty as my mind Rescue bought with solitude left me too free Now I have to find a time when you still loved me Time when you still love me Time when you still love(d) me (Boy, that don't pertain to no cow)

Bring Night 05:35
Across the desert, one cave in sight A lovely journey should end in light This mountain hole will be my home and my new school Survival tactics won't be taught as a rule Men, the end is not a terror but our final friend Only take out the lonely People in misery have enough grief Only take out the lonely People in harmony need no relief Homes are holes to be filled with love, Fouled with figment or cleaned with blood My older home taught me to take out the lonely Folks who lack in friends but not in their hearts We have to teach the innocent that they're holy Sharing warmth will soon create a new start Men, the end is not a terror but our final friend Only take out the lonely People in misery have enough grief Only take out the lonely People in harmony need no relief I cross the city, my end in sight This final journey turns day to night I solve the things that sting or fail and then fake it My one solution will explosively bite If I can't find a fact, I'll learn how to make it I come at noon, when I arrive, I bring night Men, the end is not a terror but our final friend My newer school taught me to take out the lonely Remove the losers from a world that's too calm We have to teach the ignorant that they're holy The lesson strikes them in the soul like a bomb In the end, give me a chance and I'll go again Only take out the lonely People in misery have enough grief Only take out the lonely People in harmony need no relief Don't ask me out, it's the end of us No one I love will ever ride my bus My message screams too loud for words to discuss You'll only call my number once

I’ve never been to the moon But I feel light Never killed a man, am I right? Breathing dust, the end of air Your space is a void It can’t care Never been to the moon But I see light Never killed a man within sight Vacant lights incite the sky Revealing the dark you invite Silence is speech In a world without air I’d live with the stone They can die without prayer Never been to the moon Not in this sky I know what you say by your sighs Obscene beliefs obscure the stars We’ll find a new world One can’t be far Never been to the moon Not at this time Never killed a man who could cry After you’re gone, our cold will end Thenever can freeze again Souls have all the weight Of the love they make All the substance of space Endless yet opaque Like the time we misplaced Never been to the moon Not on this flight You filled the abyss with a fight All of my endings can’t begin To tell you I feel that we’ll meet again Gravity lies when it pulls my aim down I’d live like a stone Terrified to leave ground Never been to the moon Not on this high Never killed a man, but I might All of my space is filled with when You learn that we’ll kiss When you breathe again I’ve never been to the sun But I need light Never touched the moon But I’ll try Tears fall slowly on the moon

Not A Dance 07:00
Lovers, losers Move too fast or slow Don’t know where to go Fools and fighters Speed up, can’t stop, go slow, then drop Every move’s a trip Time no longer fits I had enough fun, now I’m dying for guns Peter eater leaders got freedom on the run They talk of foreign wars with domesticated rants Don’t join in if you think it’s a dance Dance is sex with saints, or ain’t Terror makers take your vote, then piss on all your rights You think you found new freedom But you’re fighting for your life Backward lives don’t stand a chance Don’t step ahead if you think it’s a dance Why not try some flying? You can’t be slapped down if you crawl on the ground Wars that start at home can have an intimate sound You know you need to march And yet you’re trying to prance Kick both feet but don’t try to dance Lovers, liars Move so fast they fly Move too slow and die Suckers, soldiers Speed up, can’t stop, go slow, then drop Every move’s a trip Time no longer fits Leave your loss alone You own My bone and marrow Defeat in bedroom battles gives your misery a start Lose your nerve while loving Find a ghost inside your heart I shout war, you moan romance Don’t fall in love if you think it’s a dance Why not try some crying? Dance is sex with angels till the demons come along They make their lies sound musical But didn’t write this song Try to love your killer, even if you can’t Don’t go to hell if you think it’s a dance Wars start next door Move too fast and slow Tell you where to go Whores and horrors Speed up, can’t stop, go slow, then drop Every move’s a trip Time turns into shit Losing makes you gag, so start to cry The damned in life are measured by the size of their lies We’ll grab from the devils one final chance Don’t come along if you think it’s a dance Dance is sex with saints, or ain’t Why not try some dying? You lose your place to poverty Then lose your face to crime You lose your life to enemies But never lose your mind You lose your love to cowards Who have never dared a chance Don’t give up if you know you can dance

about

Song notes:

How Can You Sleep?: Some people are so *wrong* that they shouldn't be able to sleep at night: "If generosity could be a fatal flaw / then you're immortal in your greed." It's a tough song, but not mean, and I hope you enjoy it.

Take It With You: People who reach for a greater good with healing emotions sometimes fall, if only by failing to give their finest feelings to their closest friends.

I Eat Puppies: The first lines explain this love song: "I eat puppies in bad dreams / Just like you'll eat my mind." Obviously, the affair could have been better. *NO PUPPIES WERE HARMED IN THE CREATION OF THIS MUSIC.

The Deity's Nick: What IS the Deity's Nick? Gawd? HeyYou? Holy Moly? All kidding aside, this is a serious song about a man who is so depressed with his life that he comes to doubt even his religious beliefs. But the track itself is not depressing (I hope).

Outer Spacious (No Cowboy): A cowboy card game with aliens! At stake is life, death, and the space-time continuum! Will the protagonist be hanged for his unearthly crimes, or will his mom kick the aliens' butts??

Bring Night: This song depicts the culture of suicide bombers, who give their lives for a cause. Bring Night is not an homage of support, but a serious (even melancholy) story of real people.

Never Been To The Moon: As cool as the moon, this song approaches the expanse of outer space, and fills it with feeling.

Not A Dance: In this track, I reconstruct a song's constituent elements (vox, percussion, instrumentals) in a unique manner, creating dance music like no other, because it's Not A Dance.

I Don't Want To Do That: The last track on the album is a set of vox outtakes, all spontaneous, with Funny Noises, laughable mistakes, chattering teeth (from the cold), and other appealing vocal events.
